Feudalism in Medieval Societies
Feudalism was a political, social and economic structure that became predominant in the Medieval era. Whilst the structure had been apparent for centuries, it was during the Medieval period in which it became most clear. Within the structure of feudalism, there was no strong central government and there were clear class distinctions amongst the people.
It was evident in both European and Japanese Medieval societies with similarities in purpose and structure.
